Francis Xavier Aloisio: visionary artist; writer; healer and teacher.
Francis spent more than half of his life abroad, first in Peru as a missionary priest and then in England where he eventually settled after resigning from the Church. He worked as a Probation Officer and Social Worker and eventually became Chief Executive of a Charity in Sussex UK caring for people with learning disabilities. While abroad, he could appreciate more all that was Maltese although he realised that not many people knew about the temples of Malta.
On his return home, he had a strong urge to find a way how to promote the unique wealth of the Maltese prehistoric culture. Firstly he completed a collection of paintings from Malta's prehistory to contemporary society. Later, he exchanged the brush to the pen and started doing his own research on the Temples. This has given him an incredible insight into these mysterious structures. He is at present completing a trilogy on the temples of Malta, and Islands of Dream is the first of this opus-fiction where the hidden mysteries of the prehistoric sites of Malta and Gozo are uncovered and revealed.
Francis started painting late in his life as a way of self-expression; he went on to do the Certificate in Art at the University of Brighton. He draws his inspiration for his art and his writing from his Maltese background and his experience in South America. He is also interested in complementary therapies and healing practices, and has had some hands-on experiences in UK and Canada.

The Maltese Prehistoric Temples are filled with enigmatic mysteries, ancient wisdom and vibrant energies. These mysterious structures sat there in isolated silence for many centuries. The book is intended to challenge conventional outlook and fixed theories about the Temples, and to raise awareness of other concepts and views about the Temples. This may be the first book that looks at the sacred structures from a holistic perspective.
